Hospital-based specialists have their own special needs that require unique billing expertise and experience. Medical billing is becoming increasingly complex and is often hindered by rapidly changing and ever more onerous governmental regulations. Rand’s president, Marvin Retsky, M.D., is a pathologist who recognized the challenges of hospital-based billing when he founded the company. He has assembled an outstanding team of medical billers, managers and programmers who have many decades of billing experience in this arena. The Rand team understands the billing nuances of Medicare and Medicaid, the maze of managed care, specialty coding, hospital-based practice management, client satisfaction and customer services, and how all of these elements impact Anesthesiologists, Emergentologists, Pathologists and Radiologists.
Rand recognizes that hospital-based physicians deserve to receive the same high level of attention that they provide to their own referring physicians. There is no demand too big or request too small that does not receive our complete attention and our dedication to providing you with the most intensive and satisfying customer service available. Because we see ourselves as our client’s billing partner, we make it a point to assume ownership of any billing related problem and treat it as though it were our own. Moreover, there are never any extra charges for any of our services.
With reimbursement for professional services leveling or decreasing and business costs spiraling upward, Rand recognizes that the only way to stay price competitive without diminishing quality or service is to adopt technology that will increase productivity. In addition, more and more payers are demanding electronic transmissions of claims and electronic receipt of payments and correspondence. Rand has enthusiastically embraced available technology and is continuously seeking new and better ways to enhance client profitability and customer service. Approximately 98 percent of all claims are sent to carriers electronically and nearly 80 percent of all correspondence is received electronically. Every paper document received by Rand is scanned in-house and all documents are available for review by clients. Management reports are available for viewing online 24/7 and reports can be downloaded in Excel format for easy client use. Insurance checks are scanned on receipt and deposited electronically into client accounts. Patients may access the internet to view account status or change billing information. Other high tech applications designed to enhance efficiency and improve collections are currently and continuously being explored and adopted.
Our clients enjoy maximum reimbursement for their efforts, careful and continuous scrutiny of their accounts, responsive and experienced billing personnel, unlimited custom reporting, unparalleled customer service and a host of other routine and custom services that assure maximum client satisfaction. Rand was built almost entirely on word-of-mouth client referrals that only come from totally satisfied customers.
